Our holiday gift to you: voice notes 🎤

You can now record and send Voice Notes directly in your Glue messages! For when typing feels too slow or context is easier to explain out loud.

👉 Click the microphone icon in the message composer to start recording. Available on all Glue apps.

How voice notes work

🎙️ Tap to record – Press to record, press or hit enter to finish (up to 5 minutes)

🌊 Live waveform – See your audio as you speak, with the option to cancel anytime

▶️ Inline playback – Listen directly from Glue, including right in the message composer for a pre-send review

💡 When voice notes shine

  • Explain nuanced feedback without writing a novel
  • Give quick status updates while on the go
  • Add tone and clarity to fast-moving conversations

Giphy (finally!)

Our Giphy integration has arrived! Type / or tap the slash icon and click "Send GIF" to summon your next masterpiece.

FYI, shuffle results are a bit limited right now (we’re on it!). And you can still drag and drop GIFs straight into the message editor if you've already found the one that's just right.

Check out more release notes here. We'll keep the hits coming!

Share your status, just in time 🦃

You can now set a personal status in Glue! Whether you're out of office, heads-down in focus mode, or simply need everyone to know you're on your third slice of pie, a status helps your team quickly understand your availability.

Set a status from your profile menu. You can choose from one of our quick presets or fully customize your emoji, text, and duration.

We'll be updating our status to: 🙏 thankful for u.

Refreshed inbox, renewed focus 🧘

We’ve redesigned the inbox to help you focus and navigate with a cleaner, modern design.

  • Stay in the zone: Everything you need is now in your inbox! Navigate the different sections of Glue, right alongside your most important conversations — all without leaving your inbox.
  • Focus on what matters: Unread badge counts now appear only when you (or your group) are @ mentioned directly. Other unread messages are just bolded. Less clutter, more clarity.

👉 Update your app and try the refreshed inbox today. And let us know if you have feedback by reaching out to our team!

FYI push notification behavior is unchanged, and dependent on your push notification preferences.

More flexible, faster messaging

Now you can easily switch between replying, starting a thread, or chatting with Glue AI, right in the message composer. This update lets you directly start new threads within existing conversations and save separate drafts for messages and Glue AI sessions, so you can quickly pivot while staying organized.

Switch between messaging modes with the tabs on the left. All other message actions are now on the right.

Don’t see the new composer? Refresh your app or check for updates in your device’s app store.

See our release notes for more.
